Resumo

By using Langmuir probes, in a Argon plasma produced by RF electric field, we have detected large spatial variations of density and temperature along the axis of symmetry of the system [01]. These spatial variations have characteristics similar to those Striations waves found in DC glow discharge, in the presence of constant DC electric field. In this work, we present a mathematical model, developed to explain Striations waves phenomena, taking into consideration Striations waves generated by a DC oscillating electric field in a plasma produced by RF electric field. From this mathematical model is gotten the averages values of plasma potential amplitude Vptheor and the oscillating electric field amplitude EOSCtheor and the same are compared with those obtained experimentally.
